Methodology

Conflicts of interest.

A conflict is any relationship that could reasonably affect a juror's judgment of a specific entry.

Juror conflicts

A juror with a financial interest in, employment relationship with, or close personal connection to an entrant recuses themselves from scoring that entry. This is the same conflict-and-compliance review step named in the ten-step decision process.

Entrant declarations

Every entry to Aurora Awards requires an accuracy declaration and a conflict-of-interest declaration from the entrant as part of the entry form, before any jury review begins.
